Be a critic and win books for your school

As part of this year's prize, we are running a reviewing competition for young readers. Anyone under 16 can enter by writing a 200-word review of one of the books longlisted on this page. The 10 winning entries, judged by literary editor Claire Armitstead and children's editor Julia Eccleshare, will win a set of the longlisted books for their schools.

Competition entries should be sent to: Young Reviewers, Review, The Guardian, 119 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3ER, or by email to books@guardian.co.uk. Please state your age and your school clearly. The deadline for entries is Thursday September 23.
